Frequently Asked Questions

  • Recovery coaching provides personalized, real-life support that helps individuals apply the tools and insights gained in treatment to everyday life. While therapy focuses on exploring underlying thoughts, emotions, and patterns, coaching focuses on practical implementation and ongoing support outside of clinical sessions.

At Fresh Perspectives Collaborative, recovery coaching acts as a bridge between treatment and daily living. Our coaches help reinforce recovery goals through hands-on guidance, structure, accountability, and encouragement in real-world situations such as meal support, grocery shopping, exposure work, and life skills development.

Coaching works collaboratively with therapists, dietitians, and medical providers to help individuals sustain recovery beyond the therapy room.

  • Therapy is a licensed clinical service that focuses on diagnosing, processing emotions, and addressing the psychological roots of an eating disorder.

Recovery coaching is non-clinical, practical support that helps individuals implement their treatment plans in everyday life. Coaching may involve working through real-world situations such as meals, grocery shopping, exposure challenges, organization, or developing daily routines that support recovery.

Rather than replacing therapy, coaching complements and strengthens clinical care by helping clients consistently apply the strategies and tools they are learning in treatment.

  • Recovery coaching can benefit a wide range of individuals and families navigating eating disorder recovery.

At Fresh Perspectives Collaborative, we support adolescents, adults, and families at many stages of the recovery journey. Some clients seek coaching while actively working with a treatment team, while others reach out after completing treatment and looking for continued support.

Coaching can be especially helpful for individuals who need additional structure, accountability, meal support, relapse prevention strategies, or guidance as they transition back into everyday life after treatment.

  • Yes. Collaboration with treatment teams is an important part of our approach.

We regularly work alongside therapists, dietitians, physicians, and treatment programs to ensure that the coaching support we provide aligns with each client’s clinical care plan. By maintaining open communication with providers (with client consent), we help reinforce therapeutic goals and support a unified approach to recovery.

Our role is to strengthen and extend the work happening in treatment, helping clients apply those tools in real-life situations.

  • Yes. We offer both virtual and in-person coaching options depending on the needs of the client.

Virtual coaching allows individuals and families to receive support regardless of location while still benefiting from personalized guidance and accountability. Many coaching services—including check-ins, skill development, recovery planning, and family support—can be effectively provided through virtual sessions.

This flexibility allows us to support clients across the country while remaining based in South Florida.

  • Fresh Perspectives Collaborative is based in Miami, Florida, and serves clients throughout South Florida.

In addition to local support, we offer virtual coaching services for individuals and families outside the area. For clients requiring more intensive or personalized support, select in-person concierge services may also be available.

Our coaches work collaboratively with clients to create a supportive and practical environment where recovery tools can be practiced and strengthened in everyday life.

This model allows us to provide highly personalized coaching and flexible support tailored to each client’s needs. In some cases, clients may choose to submit receipts to their insurance provider for potential reimbursement, but coverage varies depending on the plan.

We are happy to discuss fees and service options during your consultation.

If you’re unsure where to begin, we encourage you to reach out. Starting the conversation is often the most important first step.
